TV REVIEW: The Nest – Limited Series

Wealthy Glasgow couple, Emily (Sophie Rundle) and Dan Docherty (Martin Compston) have always dreamed of having a child of their own but with no success. When Emily has a chance encounter with, troubled teenager, Kaya (Mirren Mack) an opportunity for surrogacy opens up. TV REVIEW: Bodyguard

With absolutely everyone talking about this six part series, I felt like I better get in on it before I missed some kind of pop culture event. I was a bit of a late starter and finisher, which is why this review is maybe a little bit late but if you’re keen it is knocking about on BBC iPlayer for the next 6 or so months.

TV REVIEW: Peaky Blinders – Season 2

Picking up two years after the events of season one, Peaky Blinders season two is once again focused on Tommy Shelby’s (Cillian Murphy) relentless ambition. Having taken clear control of Birmingham’s underworld with a focus on the legitimate site of the betting industry, Tommy has his sights set on London. The London gangs are not going to roll over without a fight though and playing the Italian and Jewish gangs against each other is not as simple as he immediately thinks.

TV REVIEW: Peaky Blinders – Season 1

I originally attempted to watch Peaky Blinders when I was pregnant and fell asleep because basically that is what you do when you are pregnant cos everything is exhausting. I had kind of forgotten about it until one of my friends from my NCT (antenatal class) group said that she and her husband were hooked.
