TV REVIEW: American Horror Story – 1984

The latest season of American Horror Story takes us back to the 80’s to a world obsessed with aerobics, rock music and big hair. Camp Redwood has just been reopened years after a terrible massacre that left only one survivor, Margaret Booth (Leslie Grossman), the now camp director. Five counsellors head to the camp to start their jobs but it soon becomes apparent that nothing is what it appears and that the camp holds more secrets and ghosts than you can shake a stick at.

TV REVIEW: American Horror Story – Apocalypse

After my American Horror Story binge earlier this year, I was excited to see the eighth season appear on Netflix. I was lucky/unlucky to catch a horrible cold that put me at home in bed for couple of days so I managed to fly through the whole season within a couple of days.

TV REVIEW: American Horror Story – Roanoke

In some ways it is quite hard to describe the fifth season of American Horror Story and it took me a good few episodes to even orientate myself. It starts off as a paranormal documentary portraying the allegedly true experiences of a couple, Shelby (Lily Rabe/Sarah Paulson) and Matt Miller (Andre Holland/Cuba Gooding Jr) who buy a house in a remote farmstead in North Carolina.

TV REVIEW: American Horror Story – Hotel

The fifth season of American Horror Story is set in the Hotel Cortez in down town Los Angeles. Having been build in the 1930’s by a property magnate, the once glamourous hotel has become a vintage relic with some rather unusual long term occupants who are mostly on the wrong side of dead.

TV REVIEW: American Horror Story – Freak Show

The formula of American Horror Story is quite unique in that each season uses mostly the same cast but changes the characters and settings and then tells a dark and disturbing tale. Mr O and I watched the first three seasons when they came out but then somehow lost track of the show and stopped watching. A friend recently reminded me of it and as past seasons are on Netflix, I decided to catch up a bit.
