I have never been to Thailand but I have always liked the food. It’s really exciting how Thai food balances sweet, sour, salty and spicy flavours so I was very excited to taste what was in this month’s box.
Tom Yum Goong Big Roll
This crunchy seaweed roll had so many flavours. It was sweet, salty and very spicy. It was so spicy you can actually see me coughing in the video. It was delicious though. I am definitely a fan.
Zour Bomb Cola
The outside of this sweet was super sour but once I got past that the cola centre was really nice. I enjoyed the contrast.
Jack ‘n Jill Potato rings
I can’t believe how much these sort of mini Hula Hoops tasted like a hot dog with sweet chili sauce on it.
Almond Chocolate Tivoli Select
I couldn’t taste this because it had almonds in it and I am allergic so Mr O and Little O shared it. Based on the photos I think they really liked it.
Heartbeat Salty Lime Candy
This genuinely tasted like salt and limes. It was a bit strange. Not my favourite combo. Maybe if you like tequila and all its accompaniments.
Glendee Coconut Snack Bites
It’s no secret that I love coconut and adding cashew nuts just makes it even better. These crunchy little bites were delicious and I could have eaten loads of them. They reminded me of coconut chips.
Jack ‘n Jill Combo
This was a pretty bog standard chocolate covered biscuit. Nice but nothing very special.
Snack Jack – Japanese Curry
Obviously the packaging on these bean puffs was very exciting because when I tried to photograph them Little O snatched them off me. In the end we shared the bag and it was a hit with both of us. The flavour very much reminded me of a katsu curry.
Mango Sour Punk
Like a sour mango fruity liquorice. Super tasty.
Juzi – C Pineapple
This pineapple candy was really spicy. I loved the combination of sweet and spicy. I was a bit sad I had to share with Mr O.
Overall this was an absolutely knock out box. There wasn’t anything in it I genuinely disliked and there was loads I loved. Everything was exciting and packed with flavour and texture. YUM!
Next month… RUSSIA!
If anyone wants to try out YUM boxes, they’ve now started a referral system. If you use my link, we both get money off. You can take up the offer here.
This has to be a first for me, as I like the sound of everything in this Thai box. I would happily munch all of those. Good to hear your SA accent on the Little O clip too. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.,
It was one of the best boxes we’ve had. So many tasty things!
