Fall into Fitness Challenge


I was recently invited by Katy at Happiness for Health to participate in a health and fitness challenge set up by herself and Toni from Tone it With Tori.

The challenge, which starts today is to keep track of hours of exercise done, pounds lost and blogs written relating to health, fitness and weight loss (which must be tagged) for the next thirty days. Points will be awarded for all of these activities and the person with the most points will be the winner.

In the lead up to Christmas with so much temptation to stray from the path, it seems like a great idea to join in with some others for support and to keep things going.

My particular aim for the challenge is to fit in five workouts per week and lose 5kg (or 11lbs).

I weighed myself this morning and my starting weight for the challenge is 88.5kg (or 195lbs or 13 stone 13lbs). My goal weight is 83.5kg (or 184lbs or 13 stone 2lbs).

I am already contemplating some challenges today. Firstly I can’t decide if I am going to the gym today or not.  I have already been five times this week and I think a rest day might be in order but by the same token missing the chance to work out when I have it… because you never know what is going to happen with the rest of the week. The other challenge is that the studio floor of my gym is being repaired this week, which means no classes. I was really looking forward to Zumba and I had also finally managed to get a spot on the beginners boxing class. Boo!

Anyway, wish me luck. I will be posting updates about the challenge as I go along as well as my ranking in the “league table”.


  1. That’s such a bummer that you can’t do Zumba, I know that always gets me pumped 😦 but I know you’ll just look at this as another challenge to overcome haha 🙂

      It’s my absolutely favourite so it’s such a bummer but the step machine is still in operation and there’s a whole row of rowing machines so there will definitely be work outs happening.

          I LOVE the step machine. It’s tough but man does it burn calories!

      Thanks! I have started the challenge by… not going to the gym today. But I’ll be up at 6 to go tomorrow!
